Are you a beer fanatic? If you are, this interesting new home appliance will definitely catch your attention. Although it is well known that brewing beer can be such a complicated process, PicoBrew is proving the world otherwise as it introduced Pico at the 2017 CES. Pico was awarded the Innovation Awards Honoree in the Eco-Design and Sustainable Technologies product category. This brewing machine makes it possible for ordinary people to make their own fresh craft beer right at the comfort of their own home – only this time it’s faster, easier, and more chic than traditional homebrewing.
The Pico fuses the ease of the Keurig brewing system with the complicated process executed by several microbreweries all over the world, making brewing beer at home simpler. These microbreweries are represented by these pre-packaged PicoPaks which are carefully chosen and measured hops and grains used by more than 100+ microbreweries around the world for their unique craft beer.
How to brew beer at home using the Pico:
Each PicoPak has an RFID tag which is read by your Pico home brewing machine which then automatically customizes the brewing settings based on these RFID tags.
Add water then brew your PicoPak for 2 to 2.5 hours then cool your unfermented beer. Although each PicoPak has a particular brewing setting, you may adjust the alcohol level and bitterness level before you start the brewing process. Each brew is able to provide 5 liters of unfermented beer.
Once your keg has cooled, add your yeast to start the fermentation process lasting for 5-7 days
Add carbonation and enjoy your freshly made home brewed craft beer.
