If you haven’t already heard, startup company DabKick is adding a social component to the VR (Virtual Reality) experience. Starting with the HTC Vive VR, users will now be able to connect between other HTC Vive VR users.
DabKick will evolve the VR experience by bringing a social aspect to the table. Imagine experiencing a game, musical performance and live moments with friends and family all over the world. DabKick makes this possible through their app and integration with VR devices. The app will allow people to spend more time with their VR devices.
DabKick demoed the app earlier this year at CES 2017. The DabKick app allows users to instantly share music, photos or video content while chatting and interacting live. Smartphone users will see the regular 2D user interface, while VR users will get their full VR experience.
Coming Soon to DabKick
DabKick recently received $750k in funding for further engineering, product development and marking plans. The app is currently free; however, a premium version is coming. The premium version will require a monthly subscription purchase which will have additional features exclusively for their monthly subscribers.
DabKick is expected to support 360 degree photos and videos in the near future for both smartphone and VR users. They also have hinted towards integrations with other VR devices.
The DabKick app is available for download on both Google and Apple Sores. For more information visit DabKick
